Pension Plans in India

A life insurance plan is a contract between policy holder and the insurance company so as to provide life cover to the policy holder. Pension plan is a type of life insurance where in the policy holder transfers a part of his current income towards his retirement fund. This way he gets an assured source of income even after retirement and hence this plan is also known as retirement plan. Upon maturity or death of the policy holder, insurance company provides a lump sum amount of money to the life insured or his dependents.
